Roseville California

The City of Roseville and Placer Valley Tourism are moving forward on plans to build a regional park with eight to 12 multi-use fields to strengthen Placer County’s draw as a major sports and recreation destination. The City and Placer Valley Tourism announced the complex will meet the latest California directives to limit water use by installing artificial turf fields, water-wise landscaping and use recycled water when possible. The Regional Sports Complex, located along the western edge of the Roseville city limits, will serve youth and amateur soccer, lacrosse, football, rugby and various other long field-specific sports teams. “This public-private partnership is an innovative way to bring an important civic amenity to our region, while having a significantly positive impact on our local economy,” said Roseville Mayor Carol Garcia. “The way the deal is structured, both the city and the private sector maximize the value of their contributions to create something greater.”
